ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SUNDAY, 31st AUGUST 2025

1. Sunday, 31 st August, is the 22 nd Sunday of the Liturgical Year. The 9:30 am Mass

   Liturgy will be organized by St. Valentine Community.

   Next Sunday, 7th September, is the 23 rd Sunday of the Liturgical Year. The Liturgy at the 9:30 am Mass will be organized and celebrated as Teachers’ Day by the Marian

   Community.

   There will be Mass in Konkani at 5 pm on 7th September.

   Friday, 5th September is the First Friday of September. The Holy Half-hour adoration

   at 7 pm will be conducted by the Youth. It will be followed by Mass.

2. The PPC Meeting will be held after the 9:30 am Mass next Sunday, i.e. 7th September.

3. Novena in honour of O. L. of the Mount, at Bandra Basilica, is from Friday, 5th to

   Saturday, 13th September, with celebration of Feast on Sunday, 14th September. The

   Octave week will be from 14th to 21st September. Details may be seen in “The

   Examiner”

   During the Octave of the Feast of Our Lady of the Mount, the Basilica invites the Sick

   and the Aged to visit the Shrine of Our Lady and pray for her intercession at special

   Masses to be celebrated on Monday, 15th September 2025 at 10:30 am and 11:30

   am.

4. The Season of Creation 2025, observed from 1 st September to 4th October, is a time

   when believers unite in prayer and action for creation. This year’s theme, ‘Peace with

   Creation’, calls for renewed stewardship and the courage to care for all living beings.

   The season emphasizes the urgent need to rediscover hope in Christ while working for

   Justice and sustainability.

   On the weekend of 6th and 7th September, all masses will be celebrated as Special

   Masses for Care for Creation.
