Sunday, 10th August, is the 19th Sunday of the Liturgical Year. The 9:30 am Mass Liturgy will be organized by Our Lady of Lourdes Community. This Sunday is observed as Vianney Sunday in the Archdiocese. Please pray for our priests and also for more vocations.
Friday, 15th August is the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a day of obligation. It is also the Independence Day of our Motherland. The Mass timings are as on Sundays. The liturgy at the 9:30 am Mass will be organized by the Senior Parishioners Club.
Mass at St. Anthony’s Chapel will be at 9:00 am because of the School Programme.
The 7:00 pm Mass on Thursday, 14th August will follow the liturgy of the Feast of the Assumption and can fulfill the obligation of the Solemnity of the Assumption.
Next Sunday, 17th August, is the 20th Sunday of the Liturgical Year. It is observed as Prison Ministry Sunday. The Liturgy at the 9:30 am Mass will be organized by the Youth.
Our Parish is pleased to announce the formation of a Choir of Choirs. The aim is to teach Parishioners Hymns according to the New Roman Missal and learn new Hymns from our New Hymnal to aid in Congregational singing. These practices will be held every Wednesday evening after the evening mass & Novena (From 7.45 pm to 8.30 pm) in Church. We encourage all Parishioners, SCC members, Youth, Lectors, Cantors and all Choir members to attend. The first practice was held last Wednesday, 6th August.
The Senior Parishioners’ Club has organized Lucky Housie on Sunday, 17th August at 10:30 am in the Residence Hall. You may register with Mercy/Ambrose in the Parish Office or at Jack-of-All Stall, Byculla by paying Rs. 50.
The Family cell of St. Blaise Church, Amboli has organized an event “Quick Connections August ’25 – When Two Hearts Meet” to be held on Sunday, 24th August from 10 am to 2 pm. providing an opportunity for all Bachelors /Spinsters 25 to 40 years of age to meet and connect with others in a fun-filled environment. In view of the Prison Ministry Sunday on 17th August, volunteers will have box collection at the gate, and also distribute envelopes, seeking your generous donations for their cause. Envelopes with donation in cash / cheque may be handed over to them next Sunday, or to the Parish Office thereafter.
