ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SUNDAY, 24th NOVEMBER, 2024

1.  Sunday, 24th November, is the last Sunday of the Liturgical year, and also the Solemnity of Christ, King of the Universe. The Liturgy at the 9.30 a.m. Mass will be led by Samaritan Community.

There will be no Evening Mass in the Church this Sunday.

 

Next Sunday, 1st December, will be the First Sunday of Advent, the beginning of the new Liturgical Year C. The Liturgy at the 9:30 am Mass will be led by St. Anthony’s & St. Stanislaus’ Communities.

 

The PPC Meeting will be held at 10:30 am in the Residence Hall on 1st Dec. Members, please be present.

 

There will be Mass in Konkani at 5 pm next Sunday, 1st December.

2.  FEAST OF CHRIST THE KING:

Adoration will be as per schedule, beginning after the 9:30 am Mass:

10:30 am – 11:00 am...... Zones 3 & 4

11:00 am – 11:30 am...... Zone 1

11:30 am – 12:00 noon... Zone 2

12:00 noon – 12:30 pm.. Religious Women & Men

12:30 pm – 1:00 pm .......Youth

4:00 pm – 4:30 pm .........Zone 5

# The Evening Adoration, Sermon and Benediction, together with the Neighbouring Parishes will take place at Our Lady of Rosary Church, Dockyard, starting at 5:30 pm.

# The Procession from our Church will leave at 4:45 pm.

# Parishioners are encouraged to attend the Adoration through the day, and also the Evening Service,in large numbers. This is a significant Feast for us all which proclaims Christ Jesus as our King.

 

3.  Christmas@Annes – An Evening of Music, Dance and Festivities will be held on Saturday,

7th Dec. 2024.  Persons/Groups who would like to put up a Skit/ Musical Performance or other Entertainment may contact Royden Braganza. Persons wishing to put up stalls at the event, may also contact Royden Braganza or the Parish office.

 

4.  The Weekly Devotion (Novena) to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour continues to be held   every Wednesday, after the 7 p.m. Mass.

 

5.  Choir practices for Christmas have begun, and will continue to be held every Thursday. Musicians and singers willing to join, may please get in touch with Sonali Peres.

 

6.  EXAMINER – Christmas issue. Non-subscribers, please pre-book your copies with Felix, Wenscy or Ambrose before 8th Dec.

Subscribers, please renew subscription for the year 2025 by paying Rs. 1100/-.

 

GOD’S WORD Bible diaries for Year 2025 are available for Rs. 230/-.

 

7.  The Archdiocesan Commission for Liturgy has organized Advent Recollection for all Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC). For South Mumbai Deanery, it will be held at O. L. of the Rosary Church, Mazagaon from 10 am to 12 noon on Saturday, 7th December, the Resource person being Fr. Joshan Rodrigues.
